Recycle at Home: DIY Decorations

Have you ever thought of turning your recycling into a creative project? Everyone has their hobbies, and if you are type of person to take on a project then we have a few fun DIY creative decorations that you can do with just household items and your recyclables.

Pop bottle bird feeder
This is a fun project that the kids can join in on. Take any liter or 2 liter plastic pop bottle and cut out two holes on both sides of the bottle. Place an old wooden spoon through the holes, this gives birds something to perch on. String wire through the plastic lid and you’re done.


Beautiful tin can lanterns
Do you have a lot of tin cans piling up in your recycling bin? Turn your back porch into a twilight destination by decorating with a tin can lanterns. All you have to do is drill holes through the tin in any pattern you like and place a small candle inside.


Recycled T-Shirt Bracelet
Getting ready for spring cleaning? If you’re cleaning out your closet and have a few items that may be too work to donate, why not create something new from the fabric. Cotton fabric can be used for a variety of crafts, including fashionable bracelets. This could be a fun DIY project for your young girls.
